Brown Bag Forum with the Superintendent
Community Consolidated School District 46 announces a "Brown Bag Forum with the District 46 Superintendent" on Monday, October 27, 2014. Community members are invited to bring their lunch and join Superintendent Ellen Correll for a lively discussion of District 46 school issues. The Brown Bag Forum will be held at the Grayslake Public Library, 100 Library Lane, Grayslake from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

CCSD 46 Strategic Planning
Community Consolidated School District 46 will be entering into a Strategic Planning Process this fall. It is important for our district to engage our community in this process. Together, we can help guide the direction of our District over the next five years. The Strategic Planning workshop will take place on two upcoming weekends, Saturday, October 25 from 8:30AM to 3:30PM, and Saturday, November 1 from 8:30AM to 12:00PM. We would like you to consider being a part of this process as your input is very important to us.

Ready or Not - 5th Grade Parents Only Meeting
CCSD 46 is presenting Pat Garrity, L.C.S.W who will help parents, grandparents and guardians navigate the conversations regarding puberty. Illinois School Funding Reform (SB16)
CCSD 46 would like to keep you informed on legislation currently in the Illinois House of Representatives. Senate Bill 16 (SB16), which has already been approved in the Senate, would have a negative impact on funding for our district, and many others. School Board Election Information
Courtesy petition packets for the April 7, 2015 Consolidated Election will be available beginning September 23, 2014, and are due by 5:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2014. Packets may be picked up at the District Office of Community Consolidated School District 46 for those individuals interested in seeking election to the District 46 Board of Education. There are three seats open, all of which are four-year terms of office. The District Office is located at 565 Frederick Road, Grayslake. Office hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, daily. Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act
On July 7, 2013 Illinois passed the Firearm Concealed Carry Act which allows individuals to obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgun. The Concealed Carry Act prohibits individuals from carrying a concealed weapon into any building or parking area of public or private elementary or secondary schools. Signs have been posted at all D46 buildings stating that the possession of firearms is prohibited. Please download the Concealed Carry Act Notice which explains the Act in greater detail, and contact the Superintendent's Office if you have any questions.
