Students will have homework two/three nights a week on average. In addition to many science lab experiences, there will be multiple chapter tests with each of the books and several projects throughout the year. Projects will be started in class, but may need to be completed at home after class work days are used. Students will make flashcards to use for studying about a week before tests. Please encourage your student to bring these home and study.
Math
Students complete daily warmups to review concepts taught in previous lessons. Students will have homework four nights a week on average. Students also complete weekly computation sheets to improve basic skills like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Math chapters include data analysis, number operations, decimals, fractions, percents, geometry, measurement, algebra and probability. Multiple tests may be given though out the course of a unit. Student will complete a review for each test to use for studying before tests. Please encourage you child to study at home.
