    -Test Taking Strategies

    • On multiple choice tests, get rid of nonsense answers
    • When you narrow it down to 2, make a best guess--NEVER LEAVE AN ANSWER BLANK
    • On essay/short answer tests, write everything you know about the topic.
    • On essay/short answer tests, just answer the question. Don't write about something that isn't included in the topic.

    -Note Taking Strategies

    • Listen for key words
      1. "Remember this"
      2. "Know this for the test"
      3. "You might need to write this down"
    • Write down what the teacher writes on the board.

    • ASK QUESTIONS!!

    -Organizational Strategies

    • Keep locker clean
    • Don't put papers in your assignment notebook
    • Make use of folders/binders for each class
    • Color coordinate binders and notebooks
    • Write homework down in each class.
    • In study hall, take 5 min to review assignment notebook so you know what homework to take home.
