Social Studies
Ancient Rome
In Social Studies, the students are going back in time to the ancient land of Rome. The students will be using the internet and books to create a Power Point presentation to tell about Ancient Rome's Achievements. Writing skills and technology will be integrated in the creation of their Power Point.

MATH
In Math, students will spend the first two weeks review key concepts from last year. The students will have an opportunity to review by completing different centers each day. We will wrap our review unit with a quiz and then begin chapter 1 in our book.

Science
In Science, students are finishing up the introduction to plate tectonics. Now that we know the Earth is moving and changing we will see how plate tectonics connects with volcanoes and earthquakes around the world!
Language Arts/Literature
In Language Arts, we will begin to work on writing speeches. The students will learn about how to speeches. We will also be looking at how to create an outline and take notes. The students will be preparing a 3 minutes speech that they will present to the class the week before spring break!
