Personal InformationPlease do not use full names of students at any time, identify students in photographs, or link to personal websites.
Student Photos, Schoolwork, or Other ImagesCCSD
46 requires that all photographs of students intended to be placed on
the web be checked through PowerSchool to make sure they do not have a
privacy order in place. If they have any privacy issues regarding
photos or inclusion on the web or district publications, then the photo
cannot be used online. Any photograph depicting students must be
submitted to the district webmaster
along with a list of the students pictured to ensure that privacy
concerns have been met. Staff members posting student photos without
this verification step will be notified by email and will have the
photos removed from their web/wiki/blog pages. If non-compliance
continues to be an issue the staff member’s pages will be removed.
Copyright and Other Legal ConsiderationsPlease
abide by all copyright laws and obtain the permissions required to use
any copyrighted materials including but not limited to photos,
graphics, music, video, stories, etc. Properly cite sources.
Site RemovalStaff
members are expected to update their web, wiki, or blog pages and keep
the information current. If pages are not being updated on a regular
basis (at least once per quarter), the staff member will be reminded to
update their page or it will be removed from the Web until updates are
made. Pages containing only static information (like contact
information) are not required to update. Pages containing time
sensitive information should be updated at least once per month. Pages
may also be removed if they do not conform to these guidelines and
policies.
